You know this thing where Australian and Indian posters derail a good thread by locking horns in repeating an old argument about a guy who isn't even from Australia and India? Can y'all just not for a while?

How about not blaming both parties when only one is at fault

You know that thing you do where you perpetuate an ignorant opinion just for the sake of being disagreeable and emphatically and rudely insist that everyone who doesn't share said ignorant opinion either "hasn't watched cricket" or "is biased"? Can you just not for a while?
If anything I'd be much more likely to biased towards the Zimbabwean player too.

Whatever it takes!!!
Whatever I recall about Flower as a keeper is that he was totally fine, though nothing great. I think the narrative when Taibu emerged was that he was the better keeper and Flower was so good as a batsman that he can play as a batsman. And I think he was also captain then. So had to manage too much out there.

The best Zim team I recall was led by Alastair Campbell and had Neil Johnson and Murray Goodwin where Flower definitely fitted in as the #5/6 and keeper.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

That's fine, but as a keeper at a relatively decent level of cricket his keeping always stuck put to me like a sore thumb as among the worst I've seen at international level, and as PEWS says the general consensus among Zimbabwe fans was that his keeping was not good. Nowhere near as good as Sanga or ABdV for example.

If you're picking him to keep in an ATG team it's a bold call when he's just about good enough to play as a bat alone

This is where I have an issue. He was not Gilchrist but not a Kamran Akmal or Parthiv Patel as well.

Yeah definitely not as good as Sanga or ABDV in keeping but he can keep for an ATG team and come off from the match without much blame.

Yeah fair enough, his batting is pretty OP compared to specialist keepers. If it was a choice between Flower and one of AB or Sanga I don't get why you would go for Flower though
Andy Flower is a personal favorite, probably due to watching his many knocks during my peak time of watching cricket. But yes, Sanga should score over both Andy and AB in this regard.
