The lbw did look plumb. But to suggest that the organizers and the host country are cheats is ludicrously offensive. Kohli and Ashwin should get more than a reprimand.

Going after the broadcasters won't get them in real trouble, even if it was an absolute shitshow. It's not really covered in the Code of Conduct and so there's going to be a lot of subjectivity when deciding on how to address the idiocy on field.
That said, the bounce and Hawkeye in SA has been so much higher than what I expected, from Mayank's LBW to now. I don't think we've even had that many LBWs overall in this series.

And particularly when it's actually one of the known weaknesses of human estimation. Judging bounce watching front-on on TV is horrendously difficult to the naked eye.

Like I said, Ashwin's was OTT but understandable as it was immediately after even Erasmus said it was impossible. Virat was 100% correct. Rahul both had time to process it, not quite heat of the moment and still came up with the dumbest thing possible to say, somehow.

You do realize the hawkeye trajectory was very different to the actual trajectory of the ball till impact? And Hawkeye has been dodgy all series. Look back on posts in this very thread.

Kohli's crap dismissal after everyone had praised him for his restraint was where the game turned. He didn't look in any real trouble and all he needed to do was not play the ****ing stupid cover drive while pant was tearing them apart at the other end. A lot of the others got good balls honestly, but Kohli just gave it away at a crucial time. Pant had just hit Maharaj out of the attack and SA looked short of ideas. Awful batting.
