It is what it is for India, the batting has lost them this series overall, a clear out needed Rahane and Pujara gone and ideally someone needs to sit down with Kohli and tell him while he doesn't need to rediscover his peak form he isn't undropable either.

totally amazed how mature Petersen looks, he seems like one of those players that's able to improve at a rapid rate.
certainly does look good for SA cricket, a good number 3 goes a long way to setting a platform for a good batting line up.
just hope he doesn't score too many next month in NZ...

This SA team is comfortably the worst since readmission. I dont think there is a doubt about that.

I have argued that on the other thread when they were suggesting this team is better than Smith's SA. It's a massive weakness that has cost them series in SA, Eng and NZ when their bowlers have delivered the goods.

As much as I respect Pujara and Rahane, Azharuddin/Sidhu/Kambli had more solidity than the current line up.

Agreed, India's bowlers shouldnt have been put in this situation. If any of India's top 5 made 50 plus and not rely on an ATG innings from Pant, India would have had a comfortable score.

The keeper is a pretty terrible bat too tbf, and Rassie hasn't done much. But yea, 8/11 are pretty decent. It's not that bad a team and they've played well.


It's definitely a missed opportunity. Disappointing, but at least we're being outplayed by a decent team on their home turf.

Big wicket to end the day. Still well behind tho.

That keeper averages 50 at fc level over 5 years no fluke.
