I wouldn’t blame the time left and pitch in this one. The declaration was at least an hour too late yesterday but they wanted to give Khawaja another good century story
You realise that they were only like 300 ahead at that stage right?I wouldn’t blame the time left and pitch in this one. The declaration was at least an hour too late yesterday but they wanted to give Khawaja another good century story
I know I guess a bit later then like 320-330 lead they certainly didn’t need close to 400You realise that they were only like 300 ahead at that stage right?
Setting 320 in 110 overs on this pitch would have been ridiculously arrogantI know I guess a bit later then like 320-330 lead they certainly didn’t need close to 400
Ehhh, there's been enough successful chases in recent years that I can see why they'd be concerned with England only needing 3 an over. The way the match has gone I think England would've been a real shot at chasing 330.I know I guess a bit later then like 320-330 lead they certainly didn’t need close to 400
Really weirdjoe root goes to the nets to hit some more balls, because that's the problem
It would have been as obvious a "we think you're so **** that we're going to do something incredibly stupid that would never work against a good team because we think you're just that ****" move as they came.Ehhh, there's been enough successful chases in recent years that I can see why they'd be concerned with England only needing 3 an over. The way the match has gone I think England would've been a real shot at chasing 330.
It would have been suicide. This batting lineup ain't much of a Test batting order, but it has basically an ATG tier ODI middle order (albeit in unusual places) and you want to basically turn it into an elongated ODI chase??? No.Ehhh, there's been enough successful chases in recent years that I can see why they'd be concerned with England only needing 3 an over. If this is true and he doesn't get picked again that would make the Australian selectors the only thing more incompetent than Australian politicians.Usman Khawaja just made Test history. Yet he now expects to be dropped... and he’s ‘not totally against it’

Looks like it, that attempted yorker went a long wayStarc looking likely here. Wonder if he’s bowling now to look for some reverse before the new ball
