Do you think he should?i don't think bairstow rates this tail
well not but i don't think he needs to quite bat like this for the #8Do you think he should?
In terms of sticking around for him in Australian conditions he's got three horrible #11s in a row to come. Probably doesn't want to wait until they're there.well not but i don't think he needs to quite bat like this for the #8
LOL are you kidding me. Buttler ain't over until he retires.Bairstow's definitely been a protected species for quite a while but I think this innings could spell the end of Buttler's Test career.
Carl Hooper still wins this handily imhoIf/when he gets to 100 the question of the worst player to play as many Tests will be very easy to answer, lol
Not if he has a broken thumb. Be a race against time for West Indies tour. Buttler should be dropped and Foakes given the gloves.Bairstow's probably going to have the gloves back by the next time England plays.

Yeah. Bairstow as a keeper averages much higher and is actually good in the role. Played about 30 games too many as a specialist bat though.Carl Hooper still wins this handily imho
Tough up north. Not batting like a bloke with a broken thumb tbf
never seen a bloke with such singular ball-striking talent bat so timidly when he puts on the whitesJeez, I just saw Buttler’s dismissal. I mean, come on
If this tour isn't the end of his test career I give up.Jeez, I just saw Buttler’s dismissal. I mean, come on
You'd think so but some bloke brought up Ian ****ing Healy.Carl Hooper still wins this handily imho
Yeah when I said three #11s to come I meant the next three. I don't think Bairstow really trusts them to last more than a couple of overs, and Wood is handy enough but realistically only a reasonable #9 batting a spot too high in these conditions. Not exactly known for his defensive stickability either so he could fall at any time even if he'd be good to average 17 or whatever.Wood can actually bat a bit & is better than a #11
He played swashbuckling innings against South Africa.Wood can actually bat a bit & is better than a #11
