just noticed Keshav has bowled 2 overs in the entire game hahahaha

Ashwing 18-1-49-1 looks good in context. Might have a big role to play today.
Good stuff from Ash. He is very similar to Kumble, has that patience and perseverance and is a thinking bowler.

I think Ashwin is much more skilled but Harbhajan had this knack of pinning the opposition down once he got a sniff. Harbhajan was a different bowler altogether once he got one or two wickets. On the flip side, he would also get too impatient and bowl darts if he didn't get that early breakthrough.

Yep Bhajji could get those big hauls in when in rhythm. Ashwin takes lot of time to settle down & work on a batsman.

this is a myth

it happened once in his career vs australia

dreadfully mediocre bowler usually who had a nice fluent action

bowler version of one of those eng batsmen you come across all the time who look great but do **** all actually

1st session likely washed out. more rest for our pacers. hopefully the day gets rained off and our bowlers can come back fresh tomorrow

Seems like there might not be any play until at least 2nd session or worst case, no play at all.

And forecast for tomorrow is similar. But given the drainage, I am sure we will be able to get 40 overs over the two days.

Did I see it right that Pant copped an earful from RvdD and bit back just before playing that awful shot? He's going to hear it to no end now.
He talks **** the whole time(worst sledger ever IMO), did the same in Aus as well, but that didn't affect his game.

I think the previous delivery kicked off out of nowhere, Pant probably wanted to mess around with Rabada's length. He was doing the same thing in England when there was too much swing on offer. It didn't come off so we are all complaining, but Pant always tries to pull off such stuff. He reversed Jofra for a six off a 140k delivery, he would have looked stupid if it would have cost him his wicket. It is what it is, I do feel he should get his eye in before trying anything crazy, but he doesn't have the technique to simply occupy the crease against proper swing/seam, attack is the best defence for him.

I really don't get 'thats Pant' excuses... I am fine with playing aggressive, or having a natural attacking game style. But running down the wicket on your 3rd ball against Rabada in the middle of a great spell is brain dead. Trying to get through the spell, taking 10 balls to get your eye in before taking a few liberties, that I`m fine with. But that shot was just an unintelligent hoick.
