Again. Is the groundsman the one telling the umpires to behave like this? Just bizarre that they can't play through a two minute light drizzle that's barely even there on the radar and waste so much time getting that massive cover on and off the ground.

Interesting contrast with the BBL game last night, was pissing down most of the night yet no play was ever lost at all. I know things are a bit more lax at BBL level but still it is notable just how drastically different the two situations were approached

I'd legitimately bowl Root ahead of Leach while Khawaja is out there. Matchups have become a bit of a meme but Uzzie is properly allergic to off spin and Leach is bowling pies.

They really have to find a way to drastically speed up the process of setting up and removing the covers. That's wasted way more time than anything else.

Well the BBL is notably more reluctant. Remember that match years back at the Gabba when it was positively slaughtering down and Chris Lynn just kept on batting. Remember KPAT dropped one. Trying to remember who was playing.

Could draw this match the length of time they take with the covers. They take longer to remove than the England openers.

The game that almost killed Gurinder Sandhu's career iirc

It's only really this season that he has recovered
