***Official*** Bangladesh in NZ 2021-22

So basically I thought we won the first two session of the game. After that I'd say Bangladesh won possibly every session, or it was even at best. Been a very good performance by them.

Well done Bangerz, brilliant professional work. Took hold of the game on the second morning and never let go. Any team in the world would deserve to be proud of that performance.
Absolutely, while NZ perhaps weren’t as switched on as they could have been Bangladesh earned it right through. Gone better than several other touring sides.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, the most impressive display of resolve from BD ever. The way they got their runs, not just how many they got, was chef's kiss and then Ebadot pulled that out of the bag. Puts other SC teams that toured NZ recently to shame especially Pakistan and England who choked hard on flatties.
Adding England to SC is gng too far, man.

A Plunket Shield side could beat this BD team. This is more or less the same bunch that got demolished at home vs Pak. NZ have Boult and Conway back and more or less a full strength XI. BD are without Shakib, Mahmadullah and Mushfiqur. They're going to struggle to score runs and the seamers aren't good enough to bowl NZ out regularly.

Hope they prove me wrong, would love to see a bit of fight.
Never in doubt

God this team can be good when they knuckle down and play properly. What a fabulous win. Not many sides beat NZ at home. Glorious.

Enormous congratulations to the Bangla team and the fans. Historic moment, the culmination of decades of hard work, building, some wrong turns and the determination of the current side.

NZ will be rightly criticised for being off their game, but they didn't gift Bangladesh the match and it was no fluke - Bangladesh played very very well. They stuck in there in the first innings with the ball when it looked bad for them and they earned the chances they took. The batting was very good, very patient, gave nothing away, hit bad balls - doesn't sounds unusual, it was just good test match batting. And that third innings bowling performance by Taskin and Ebadot was full of energy, pace and reverse... even backed up by the fielders a few times. They deserved the win.

Bangladesh have plenty to work with from here, continue to develop this core of seam bowlers and they will continue to be competitive away from home.
