So have not been able to watch any of day 2, 3 or 4, and the first hour this morning. But jeez, this has been a poor performance. Goes back to the first innings - we were absolutely coasting, and then coughed up some very soft wickets, and have been punished for it. I can't really comment on our bowling since I've missed it all, but Jamieson is looking very laboured in this spell, and sounds like Boult and Southee have been well off their best.

So as a type that he gets a wicket. Hmm. Should've done this 3 days ago

Moved like a man in his 20’s? That looked like I do when I fall out of bed whilst trying to reach for the leftover pringles from the night before.
Tbf I think I moved like that in my twenties. Though probably wouldn't have held on

There's definitely a bit of variable bounce here. If we'd got to even 120 ahead it would've been a very nervy chase

Only real change I can see for NZ in the second test (injuries aside) is Mitchell in for Ravindra. Strengthens the batting a lot and I doubt a spinner will be needed at Hagley.

You could argue that one of the quicks should get rested but I'd disagree, I think they need test match bowling. Boult in particular has been off his length for quite a while now and if he doesn't play another red ball game before the South African tests he's still going to be underdone
