Swepson playing was never very realistic imo, or at least it shouldn't have been. I always believe in playing the best available XI in test cricket, and nowhere in Australian conditions at the moment would a second spinner be part of said XI

Giving someone a test just to "see what they have" is truly appalling logic imo

Given the weather I don't think it was possible to create a turner. It most likely would've been a flatty that turned into a bore draw.
