It's been full on 'One-Day Mode'

Almost no intention to bat properly! (To leave or to defend balls). They just wanted to score quickly and move the game on and in the process quickly threw away the wickets.

Had India batted 60 overs and taken time out of the game, it would have been comfortable to get a draw. But now anything is possible. Win, lose, draw. Good for test cricket.
