England, rule number one moving forward

stfu about data, rest/rotation and workload management. Cringey corporate jargon.
this is an odd take when australia probably lost a series at home that absolutely should have been nailed out because they didn't rest and rotate, and have done so here to great success

I can think of a couple of prominent Aussie CWers who hold or have held British passports, just give them a game imo

Don’t agree with this. Data is incredibly valuable in anything if you use it correctly.

If doing a lot of heavy lifting there though

yeah, ultimately though you have to play what's in front of you rather than prefabbing anything, and that's been england's problem this tour.

mind you, would not have made a difference; it's not like data can give you a decent forward defense or not

i don’t know how you’d explain the decline of our batting. I’m not saying we have great players or that we should be winning down under, but we shouldnt be this bad. The only explanation for me is the focus of white ball cricket and the marginalisation of CC over the last few years.
the decline in test match batting pre dates the 2015 supposed switch to white ball focus

it's a smoke screen by county fans. green pitches will be on display irrespective of when you play the matches in England
