Mayank was asked about this in PC & he said he doesn't want to get penalized for saying something wrong. I think everyone in TM knows broadcaster got it wrong. They have moved on but I don't think they would let it go if an Indian DRS goes begging. Even on field Umpire looked shocked lmaoWatching the highlights and there is no replay of Mayank's dismissal.
Lol calm down. Rahane should be first in line and he is being trusted by the team management and the new coach so I don't see Pujara getting the axe unless he goes another 5-6 tests without a big score.Pujara has to go
Hasn't he already gone like 10 tests without oneLol calm down. Rahane should be first in line and he is being trusted by the team management and the new coach so I don't see Pujara getting the axe unless he goes another 5-6 tests without a big score.
He did a decent job in the last two tests in England.Hasn't he already gone like 10 tests without one
The two players to follow him have been equally bad.Just checked, he's averaging like 25 from his last 20 tests
Shocking
Yep. Even when they did show the ball tracking it looked like it was missing frames and was hurried through - was very weird.Watching the highlights and there is no replay of Mayank's dismissal.
So are the other two spuds though...Just checked, he's averaging like 25 from his last 20 tests
Shocking
Precisely why I rate Dravid really really high in test cricket. India went from not even managing to draw tests in SENA to winning tests once Dravid stepped in.Pujara bats time, you need to see how many balls he is facing and thus allowing other batsmen to score around him! (It’s not only about runs.)
Without Pujara India would’ve lost the Gabba Test, without doubt. So no series win in Australia.
Even in Sydney he had a major contribution, twin 50s and faced heaps of balls.
He's had his moments in England, but Dravid and co could just as easily ask for people who can come in later with more runs and a somewhat similar ability to last if this poor run continues. Is it fair to say he's become someone who will still help set up wins/save games with some regularity but no longer seems capable of a true match-winning contribution by himself? Which makes him worth his spot in the side whilst the "with some regularity" bit holds true imo
