Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

when watching cricket games in stadiums while in india, i was always at ground level behind the bowler or at the stands facing pitch from mid on so i didn't really appreciate pacers that much

saw a mitchell starc spell at the SCG from one of the upper decks with @Dan

you cannot register the ball leaving his hand and thudding into the keeper's gloves

not even a blur

its amazing
Yes, that's why I hope they show pace bowling from different angles on TV for people to realise how quick they really are. Especially for us Indian fans since we think we are good enough to face International pace bowlers and it's all easy:laugh:

yeah i am saying i couldn't see starc's deliveries at all

just the completion of his action followed by the ball hitting the keeper's gloves in a micro second or something that felt so
Yeah I know exactly what you said lol

Funny how Varun Aaron is not even good enough to be a net bowler for team India these days. Whom did he piss off? Surely he can't make it to the squad at the moment, but it's almost like he doesn't exist. Doing well in domestic cricket from what I see.

Varun Aron's economy in tests is 4.77. WTF. Bumrah has better ER in ODIs iirc.
Hehe, right, but Aaron was too raw when he was picked. Not saying that he would have been as good as Bumrah or Shami by now, but I think he should have been some kind of a backup bowler, net bowler or something. He has just vanished. Also, I remember the kind of strategies the captain had set for him in his tour to Australia(like bowling full and wide outside off to Warner for an entire session), made his numbers worse tbh.

But no one faces up to a bowler from the side. The view I want is from over the other wicket, or better yet the go pro view they sometimes do. That is the real perception of reaction time.

They should use it more often. It gives a very accurate picture of how quick the fast bowlers are.

We really need more of top-view in realtime, go pro, etc. Viewers should see how scary the pace is, guess that will reduce the ****-talking a bit every time someone fails.
