You were never around for the 90s were you? England would always find a way to win a dead rubber.Discuss
What's that got to do with this series, following on from two 5-0s in between? You were never around for the 90s were you? England would always find a way to win a dead rubber.
94 mph pace, landing on short of good length and from a difficult angle by left arm fast bowler. No batsman no matter how great he is would be comfortable against that. That 2013-2014 Ashes in Australia I don’t know how any 5-0 can top that. Johnson pretty much retired or sent like 4-5 of England’s top players home that series
You just want more Paine for Root, don't you?His penis will be recuperated and in good shape too by then
I dont remember worst, but I have not seen a side look more hopeless right from the first day. This isn't even close to being the worst England has looked in Australia.
This is true. I suppose I was addressing cnerd's initial question rather than the options he provided. This one isn't as traumatic as 2013-14 for the reason you provided. But I reckon it's a worse performance because Aus aren't by any means outstanding.No. We expected a stuffing here as we are crap.
You put Atherton, Stewart and Russell in this side and it improves dramatically despite their ages.At some point, we may need to revisit the 'worse than the 90s' discussion. At the time, it was kind of written off as an over-reaction, but in 1994/95 and 1998/99 we did win a test when the series was alive, even if the Ashes weren't. Perhaps the next test will tell.
