I was trying to be hopeful for the English fans on here, personally I hope they get smashed for 75 all-out.No chance of a win. If they are good enough they could get a draw.
surely Richardson gets the nod unless Neser takes a 5 fer or something. Richardson clearly the man with the higher ceilingBit of an intriguing bowl off between Neser and Richardson here since it seems probable that one of the big three will miss on Boxing Day.
It’s his job.Feel for Hameed, it's a tough gig coming out to open in these conditions.
Ganguly probably the best example of a right hander batting left handed who couldn't score any runs on the leg side. Always looked like a total gumby off his pads.Wonder if it's anything to do with being right hander who bats left handed. Warner is awful off his pads too, as was Langer. As a left hand bat it should be your bread and butter
Phil Hughes very similar. Bowled right handed so I'm assuming he was right handed. Looked a million bucks playing offside shots and hopeless trying to work the ball to the legsideGanguly probably the best example of a right hander batting left handed who couldn't score any runs on the leg side. Carberry is probably the most hard done by opening bat post-Ashes I can remember. Didn't have the best statistics, but he dealt with just about the toughest opening bowling duo I've ever seen pretty admirably. Should have been persisted with, though we may have lost him to health issues regardless.Australian ashes tours have been career death for so many opening batsmen
it's the tough(or at least, unfamilar) conditions combined some great bowling to deal with and a long, long series
10 innings of Burns and Hameed struggling to score will have their career end up the way of Carberry
Yeah that's a good example too.Phil Hughes very similar. Bowled right handed so I'm assuming he was right handed. Looked a million bucks playing offside shots and hopeless trying to work the ball to the legside
Michael Clarke was very strong off his legsGanguly probably the best example of a right hander batting left handed who couldn't score any runs on the leg side. Always looked like a total gumby off his pads.
We have career death for opening bats all the time, is not just Australia.Australian ashes tours have been career death for so many opening batsmen

didn't look like getting out but wasn't middling them much either. ODI middle overs stage battingmissed the last two hours, how’d green look? that’s a slightly weird looking score in the circumstances
