I hear that, but I feel like if the balance of the side requires him to bowl, he has to step up in responsibility and do that. This will give certain posters a woody, but I don't imagine Allan Border would've had any issue wheeling down 30 a day if that was what was required of him.The captain who scores 87% of runs needing to also bowl 30 overs doesn’t seem the smartest move to me though

OK, again I get it...but that's a hell of a risk if you are resting arguably your best bowler (Robinson, obviously too) from the first Test when you're 0-1 down. Not much use to you when you have to win three Tests on the bounce halfway around the world to regain the Ashes.I think it's this, yeah. Wood can't play every Test and they identified this one as a better one to miss than the others.
Not saying it's right but I don't think they picked Woakes over him for any other real reason.

I imagine he would be quite happy about the range and variety of cheeseboards on offer out the back of the membersPlease say hi to the bloke sitting two rows in front of you from Avi Yemini.
Mate you follow a side comprised of human tooth picks ffs.yes the real manly men Smith and Labu
Especially the soap dodgers.have a good day GAS and remember to stay 2 metres apart from all people at all times
Is a day of thunderstorms forecast? The England fightback today is going to be ****ing beautiful
No, even with the context this is utter ****.This shows why context and history in sports is so much more important than the actual game itself. Because otherwise, Ashes tend to be some of the most boring one sided cricket. And it goes on for five Tests…
The Ashes has provided some decent series over the past few years. It’s just they’re all in the UK where they’ve been closer, rather than the cake walls we see here. No, even with the context this is utter ****.
he could get this message across by throwing a cheeseboard at the bloke's head could he notPlease say hi to the bloke sitting two rows in front of you from Avi Yemini.
I'm impressed with the consistency, that's hard to do, well done England.
It is strange. Ramprakash had a similar issueWhy the **** is Malan so good in Australia but so **** everywhere else?
Knows his game, leaves well on length and plays the horizontal shot very well. I'd always encourage a bowler to throw it up there as he's often stuck in the creaseWhy the **** is Malan so good in Australia but so **** everywhere else?
