Just completely regulation at this level. Any level.

Ian Smith dropped a similar one in an ODI approx 30 years ago.

A regulation catch like that, how can that happen? Picking a keeper who can bat is not the same as a batsman who can keep.

It's even weirder when you consider at Test cricket he's hardly a fantastic bat either. Foakes has been robbed of a Test career - a much better keeper than Bairstow/Buttler and probably only a marginally worse batsman.

Robinson still bowling far too short. That ball confirms the ones down leg are at least sometimes deliberate, I think a rather desperate strategy with an eight over old ball.

Buttler was Ed Smith's genius pick as a batsman (that took ages to come off IIRC) and became the 'logical' choice to replace Bairstow when the latter's place finally became untenable. Another story of English selectorial silliness.

Yep. One of the few days of the series I could watch pretty much all of and I got that.
