I like how we have 400+ posts in this thread but no one is actually really disagreeing with anyone.

Pretty much everyone acknowledges that Ashwin is short of an ATG, incredible in home conditions and has been improving on a not great overseas record over the last few years.

Yes true.
I think there are a few who already consider him an ATG player while some do not.

On a side note, if Ashwin takes 12 wickets at 20 in SA (an arbitrary number), he would average sub 30 in SA as well overall. Australia would be the only country where he would be having a poor record(but then again 2 series victories). I would absolutely consider him an ATG then.

Go Ravi, go.

Whatever it takes!!!
Then how many spinners are regarded ATGs by everyone?
O’Reilly
Warne
Murali
Grimmett
Laker
This is the top 5,Verity completes the top 6,the 3 are regarded ATG by everyone but some won’t consider Grimmett, laker, verity as ATGs.
Why can you speak for everyone? If you are so sure you speak for everyone, why the **** are you in this forum?

He is in top 10 ,ashwin as well. You can argue both for being no.6,verity is my preference and other 5 deserve to be the top 5 even without considering my any bias.
I disagree, considering you've not exactly been some sort of omniscient judge of cricketers. Especially if by past posts you're basically going on Bradman's feelings for rankings.
