I've visited and enjoyed both places but Malaysia has greater diversity. Singapore is a little TOO commercial and tourist orientated.

Moved to Australia? He's completely Australian lol been here since he was 2 years old. Only represented Singapore on a technicality

So if he does get picked for Australia in the LO formats, then he has to ditch Singapore right? He cant play for them even among the associate level trophies?

I believe so. He's not even selected for his state yet though so not a big danger of playing for Australia at this stage haha

Yeah.. Was juz keen to understand the rules around it. As far as I can tell, it seems its lighter on players who go back to play for associates having been part of a full member set up, than it is the other way. @cnerd123 can confirm, I guess.
