Good game, congrats on the result - emphatic innings from your unbeaten pair as well as Reid opening the batting. Think we left at least 20 runs out there in the first innings after a decent start but think in any case given how you chased the target down would've probably needed around 250 to have a chance!

Congrats @Charlie B just way too many runs on the scoreboard. The lack of early wickets did make the difference

Thank you for that Magrat . My feeling is that a key point was that innings of Baverstock - he is not particularly attacking but he selects his shots well and when a bad ball comes he puts it away. At our level a bad ball does come maybe once an over so he manages to score at 4rpo or more. When he makes a 50 the team generally goes onto make a good score as the middle order can blaze a bit harder

Today it helped us to 250 instead of 220 and that meant pressure on those first 10 overs of the dynamo innings - it meant it was no longer enough to score 30 and accelerate later. So then wickets were lost to Goon and things began to get ever harder to pull back. what might appear to have been a good victory could easily have followed another path with his dismissal. But we focused very hard on the game against such a quality opponent so it was clearly a very pleasing win

In the other game, the Rangers are attacking just about anything. 168/4 in the 35th. Naughton with 57 off 37 just kept on hitting boundaries. It's good we got his wicket. They were threatening with the run rate inching close to 5 an over.

I think it was because I was top of Plate knockout sides so effectively the winner of our semi-final got the home advantage for final. Effectively being top of Plate sides or CWC Championship sides guaranteed you a home semi-final and final (if you won SF.) You won semi-final against me so effectively took my place as home side in the final.

Group C I hope to procure an upset, but I will be facing 15K+ rating deficits.

Hopefully, with a few more decent training sessions and ideally a few good youngsters transfer-listed that we can pick up, we can give as good as we get.
