Thanks to Glenn Turner, Taylor isn't even the best NZ batsman with an average under 45. Still a Kiwi great though.real win for blokes who love logging on to the cricket web forum to discuss who is the best batsman with an average <45 though one has to say
Only 459 runs to go. Do it by afternoon tea on the 5th day.Partnership is building for Nz
On this topic, I would say Gordon Greenidge.real win for blokes who love logging on to the cricket web forum to discuss who is the best batsman with an average <45 though one has to say
Can work when you have the personnel to do it, like KW, Watling and an in- form Nicholls in the UAE. Then again this attack is probably a level above Pakistan’s in 2018.Hopefully a lesson’s been learnt in this test that NZ’s tried and true approach of bat conservatively and wait for the bowlers to get bored/tired is not a bullet proof strategy for all conditions.
at this rate Henry’s going to run through his 4 or 5 chances before he gets to 50.Nicholls plumb lbw, no review. Just need another 3 or 4 of those and it’s Daddy hundred time
that's one more piece of luck, looking like 2-3 more might get him to 50Nicholls plumb lbw, no review. Just need another 3 or 4 of those and it’s Daddy hundred time
Bowling was fine that series, the batting just decided to Pakistan one day and play scoop shots chasing ****ing 176. There was a damn innings win in that series. It was probably the most ridiculous Pakistan-style choke ever. Can work when you have the personnel to do it, like KW, Watling and an in- form Nicholls in the UAE. Yeah, people should be allowed to bat in the way that maximises their influence on the game rather than to a predetermined plan.Hopefully a lesson’s been learnt in this test that NZ’s tried and true approach of bat conservatively and wait for the bowlers to get bored/tired is not a bullet proof strategy for all conditions.
