Its as much the captain's fault as his though, IMO. He has looked dangerous the moment he has gone to the outside off line.

He's been set a field with nothing on the off side. Its very strange. Taylor at slip is wasted too if this is the plan.

The field he's set all day doesn't encourage him to bowl off stump at all.

Even if it is the regular line bowls, a captain should step in once it was clear it was not working and there was enough in the pitch to bowl off stump and outside line.

He's had Taylor at slip the whole time.
Nothing on the off side is supposed to invite the drive, with catches on the leg side for the inside edge.
