1. I did not say Southee and KJ were not good bowlers. I actually said they bowled well to get those wickets.
2. Immaterial
3. So are Ishant and Umesh. Does not mean everyone will be threatening on this track.
4. Maybe. But these points are relative. The likeliest bowlers to get you wickets should be bowling more and in tandem. That was the point.
You specifically said that all bowlers will be threatening on this track.

Respectfully, Ishant and Umesh are not the bowlers that Southee and KJ are.

Yeah, the problem for NZ will be that this is a pitch where all bowlers seem dangerous. Fast bowlers with the swing and uneven bounce. Spinners with turn and uneven bounce. There is also the fact that pitch itself seems a bit two paced off certain lengths which means strokeplay can be a nightmare, esp. for non SC batsmen. NZ always fight hard and they expect them to do the same here too, but I wont be surprised if they are bundled out very quickly and cheaply here.
lol... Uneven bounce, uneven pace and loads of swing and reverse swing. This is as good as it gets for seamers in India mate, perhaps as good as it gets anywhere in SC.

Maybe not Ishant... As he is past it. But Umesh has amazing numbers in India.. And has outbowled likes of Rabada Nortje Anderson Broad here.

always amazes me to see Luke Ronchi in the coaching setup (and when he was in the team).
Had forgotten his one-off tour of India in 2015 until reminded by that old scorecard. Was genuinely excellent, so if there's one place his advice in the NZ camp may be useful, it's India.

Yeah, when he bowled well he got wickets on pitches that are difficult for pace bowlers...that's kinda the point

Blundell 4 off 36 trying to block the ball into kingdomcum
He's showing why other players like Latham and Taylor have taken the risk of coming down the wicket - if you do nothing proactive then you go nowhere and will end up worked over by the spinner eventually.

100 percent agree straw man
If you let a quality world class spinner operate at you without attacking then they will get you out sooner or later
Conditions in this first innings are fine for batting and I would have liked to see us be busier
I though will young batted at the right pace and used his feet brilliantly
