In what world is coming down the wicket to spinners improper cricket? Do you guys look at Laxman dancing down the pitch and hitting Warne out of the rough against the turn and say "what a hack, should've padded it away".

Another excellent cut shot. They've all gone where he's intended them to go too. Took advantage of the field but not like he's been top-edging them all.
Attacking or proactive batting is anathema to all that is good about cricket.

He skewed a couple of his boundaries, wildly slogged at a couple which dropped in the gaps. I dont think he's looked like a hack but I'd struggle to call him convincing.

Looking better with time though undoubtedly.
Wait for Twitter to go crazy about him, he'll be taken to South Africa and in no time he'll be no more a test batsman.

I've seen him bat in white ball cricket in NZ. He's looked really good. Just not convinced about this knock but admire his courage though. Takes some ticker.

And we're used to seeing Kane barely celebrate a double. Iyer went around celebrating 50 like he's broken Lara's test record :-)

We're not used to these things and get judgemental.

Agree with the comms at the moment, too many easily singles for Jadeja down the ground.

Kane bowling Ajaz over the wicket, hmm.

Not Terrible
This is where we really feel the lack of Wagner who would be doing whatever he could to make the batsman uncomfortable for a prolonged period.

Shreyas has been mediocre. Initial wild slogs were debut nerves. But missing a straight one that turned out to be umpires call is more concerning in a pitch that is barely turning. Cashing in after tea has been legit cricket shots tho. Also I would like to have rude words with whoever compared him to Sehwag. His outrageous innings were on actual Turner's vs spinners.
