I can't believe I ate the whole thing
If Santner wants to play test cricket the best thing for him is to not play test cricket for a bit.

I don't hate him, he just isn't up to it in this format and partly it's not his fault. He was made to learn on the job and dint have the best tutors for it

There is some hate for Santner among NZ posters :tooth:
In theory his skillset should be very useful, but he just hasn’t kicked on in test cricket. Bit of a poor man’s version of Ravi Jadeja circa 2012-2014.

The frustration from fans is more at the selectors for continuing to be swayed by the idea that he may still make it as a test allrounder.

Santner has to be one of the best white ball bowler going around. He probably needs to play a season of county to find that rythm for red ball cricket. It's not all over for him yet in red ball cricket. Does he want it that desperately though is the question

Yeah don’t disagree with it, he’s still younger than Ajaz was when the latter made his debut. With all the T20s going around though, this seems unlikely.

To be fair that was Gill's mistake. Played a bit early but Kyle did get the ball in.

Column a column b. Drag one can easily be put down to batsman error and luck but to me in some cases it's the flip side to an outside edge being caught, especially if it's an inside edge like that versus a cross bat chop on
