Bloody hell. When was the last time we actually won a toss for a test match in India? Feels like the result is now a forgone conclusion.

After all the discussion on the XI, bowling attack that leaves out Wagner is a fair decision imo. Rough on him, but reasonable.

Jamieson and Southee stomping big holes for Ajaz and Rachin to bowl into has an intuitive appeal. Pity India have Jadeja and Axar...

Bowling first is rubbish of course.

Actually I am kinda concerned about Jamieson being one of a two strong pace attack. And concerned about the limited cricket Somerville has had.

Oh well.

Not the worst XI, would have picked Wagner over Somerville but it's not terrible compared to what they could have come up with.
Yeah, I agree. Would've picked Wagner but eminently reasonable to pick Somerville considering the pitch.

Yeah Jamieson has looked a bit gassed out at times in NZ, may struggle as the day goes on. Still with the pitch the way it is, I think they've just about made the right call.

Damn... We're bowling first. 50% to India already.

Can't complain about the line up. Wagner missing out not good but I guess you had to pick 3 spinners given the deck.

Still would have taken Wagner but yeah we'll see. It's a defendable decision.

Really wish they'd let teams select their XI after the toss. Makes such a big difference.

Southee is indispensable in tests. Jamieson is like one of the top bowlers going around. Never an option to drop either. Maybe they could have gone with Wagner for Sommerville but debatable to go with just two spinners in case we were bowling last.

Not impressed with this Indian batting line up at all. I understand Rahane has to play but ****ing hell Saha and Sharma? Ugh.

No Siraj either? Abysmal.
