Cracking end to that game. Danny Briggs hitting the last ball for six... by cms. A classic game of the format

Deccan Gladiators' with so many quality T20 cricketers in their team...

Tom Kohler-Cadmore just hit Adil Rashid for 4 sixes in 4 balls

Rashid has had a fun tournament. First game he didn't bowl presumably because of matchups. Game 2 he took 2-6 in 2 overs. Game 3 he was 0/5 in 1 over, presumably not used his second over due to matchups, and game 4 1 over for 25.

I just don't know if those sort of longer form players will get it done in this league...
I think they will prosper.
I heard a crazy thing today when Andy Flower was being interviewed. He said that any score is chasable due to the fact that the organizers brought in the boundary rope for this league.

It's a shameful thing to do, especially when most of these guys can clear the (original) ropes.

What's the point of this format and tourney though? A week after a T20 WC. Same with the NZ-India series tbh.

Is T20 not short enough for people's attention spans? Next thing I imagine will simply be a series of super overs as a tourney. It's bizarre.

Looks like it's all about money, but when I look to see if the place was packed or not, it was mostly the players and their support staff along with the TV production persons... one can hear a pin drop in certain locations in that stadium, I'm assuming lol.

The India-NZ series felt more like having a knock...one team was supremely better than the other...and Guptill bossing up the place.

Hahaha...Short and sweet, no one needs a stamina daddy!

I am just tuning in hoping to see Tom Banton and TKC romp their way to a target of only 71 in 10 overs. Yesterday, they absolutely killed it with a 100-run partnership.

Jamie Overton would be a useful player for England if he could actually bowl decently. Pretty consistent hitter of a long ball in the middle to lower order these days. Team Abu Dhabi still unbeaten. The UK quartet of Salt, Livingstone, Stirling and Overton all striking at over 200sr currently for them.

Who TF is this toby Albert kid and how on earth did he end up playing in this league. 20 year old from England with a grand total of 2 T20 games where he did jack ****.

I love that Deccan make 159-0 in their 10 overs and Adil Rashid doesn't bowl. Presumably due to the bad matchup vs Andre Russell.

Hasaranga the star of the tournament. His non bouncing googlies proving deadly. 21 wickets @ 9.28 avg @ 8.47 econ. https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/e..._wickets_career.html?id=14358;type=tournament
Team with the best bowling winning the tournament. Hasaranga excellent, Mills and Riaz both really good.

From England perspective promising tournament for Tymal Mills. I'm a bit torn on him as an England t20 international. I do rate his bowling. He isn't easy to face, even for the best batsman in the world. The combination of the left arm, high pace, combined with a really good slower ball make him tough to face. The issues I have is that he is a poor fielder and batsman so he really has to offer some specialist bowling skills and nail those skills on a consistent basis. I also worry a bit about his lack of high level cricket over his career. When it comes to high pressure games like the world t20s you need to be able to handle the pressure and he lacks top experience in the IPL and other big tournaments. Slightly alarming him going down injured in a high pressure game vs Sri Lanka just as he was under the pump. Be interesting to see if he makes the squad for Australia next year if Archer and co return.

Livingstone another decent tournament and as captain of his team made sure he bowled plenty of overs and came out with comparatively decent economy and average from his bowling.

Salt impressive as second highest scorer in tournament at 240sr. Not a great fan of his. Very much a bottom handed slogger type. Not sure he's going to quite have the quality at world 50 and 20 over standard but hopefully he makes it for England's sake.

Players last chance to show off before the IPL bidding which starts on Sunday.
Phil Salt 53* from 19 balls. 2 catches

Was thinking Shanaka was useless 10 from 11 balls and ends up 62* from 17 balls but the overall total was poor 106/1 from 10 overs.
Zazai was he useless one, 35 from 26 balls while Shanaka 62 from 27 balls.

Samp Army win 108/4.

Deccan Gladiators v Chennai Braves. DG win the toss.
Lynn 68*(28) - 141/2
Buttler 43 (10) 101/2 from 5.4 overs
Buttler 62* (24) - 142/3 DG

See Robinson with the Banglatigers. Didn't play or win today
