Now, you know why Neesham didn't celebrate SF victory. Because he knew the final result.

He should have played the 2019 WCGoing by those numbers, in white ball cricket MMarsh über alles
They've been rested for a marquee test series after playing two long t20 tournaments. Why?
Weirdest selection ever was omitting him from that tourney but selecting him for the Ashes series straight after. He should have played the 2019 WC
Problem is ,ICC depends on 1 country to generate bulk of the revenue. So matches were held in our prime time for TV viewership. Logical decision would have been to hold more Day games.Toss played 'a big part', admits Aaron Finch, but so did Australia aggression
Australia emulate West Indies in lifting trophy despite not winning a single game batting firstwww.espncricinfo.com
Good honest man, that guy.
Congrats on winning the World Toss Cup, Finchy.
But on a serious note, ICC really have to ensure if they are playing in dewy winter conditions, especially in Asia, they have to start games at 7:30 or 8 PM so as to ensure the dew is at least somewhat the same for both sides. In ODIs, it is still ok if they start games at 1:30 PM coz then the second innings will start around 5:30 and you get a solid 90 mins to 2 hours before the dew settles in and good teams can still break games open in that time.
Along with HazlewoodHe should have played the 2019 WC
Could have sworn haze didAlong with Hazlewood
Nah, was left out of the squad. Dorff, NCN and KRichardson were the other seamers in the squadCould have sworn haze did
Would be better off just not playing games there at all tbh.But on a serious note, ICC really have to ensure if they are playing in dewy winter conditions, especially in Asia, they have to start games at 7:30 or 8 PM so as to ensure the dew is at least somewhat the same for both sides. Agree completely with this. Guptill is on the wane a bit, but the go-slow was quite deliberate - think it was noted that crease occupation was very much the strategy till the halfway point after which they could go beserk. It may be seen as negative thinking not to go hard from ball one, but most teams would jump at the chance to defend 170 in a WC final and NZ did have the attack for it, apart from Boult they just didn't turn up.No. NZ didn't lose the game with the bat. They lost it with the ball. And if Guptill went slowly, part of that is on team selection where they went in a batsman shy and were more conservative than they might otherwise have been.
NZ's bowling really let them down. Boult (and Milne tbf for three of his overs) aside, they were terrible. Put under pressure by good batting, but just didn't respond at all.
Which is why post-match celebrations didn't make sense to me . Was surprised to see Australian cricketers crying ( 5 times ODI WC champions)And of course I say that as a supporter of a country which routinely wins WCs everywhere, across all formats.

More than harsh. They were recovering form 3 for 8 lmao. A run a ball knock was fineIND vs PAK Cricket Scorecard, Final at Johannesburg, September 24, 2007

This is probably very harsh, but Michael Clarke wasted everyone's time in the final where they lost to England.
