Frans Potgieter of ataraXIa has thrown a spanner into the race for first (and also sixth, don't think the chasers expected ata to get points here) - up to Tony Chung to get FHK anywhere near a decent total now

It is an immaterial point because as I understand it CWC3 will be based on a play off of the Top 6 sides and this is unlikely to impact that (though maybe their positions?) but are the results not skewed by that first game played in 1970?

Actually perhaps not - i see AtaraXIa lost their 1970 match - as an example

This Dev team doesn't like scoring much more than 150 on a typical pitch. Managed to grab the bonus point but that's all. The battle for 6th position will be close.

A SOD vs MTO saw a 5-wicket win for my team. Managed to restrict them to 217-6 despite a big Haran Thundayal (73 off 109) and Tigwell (74 off 90) partnership that lasted half the innings. The chase was rather lagging at first before Bobby Shaffrey burst out of his cocoon to score a matchwinning 61 (58). Close, intriguing match.

Cup was a bot bash which saw Ludlow meme his way to 69. Apart from that, not much to report.

Meanwhile at Five Demands CG, my SOD opening partnership has forgotten the format of the game and in reply to 214/8, are 19/0 (11). Earlier in the game, Nathan Law hit his way to 57 (50) before getting out to Juan Goliath, who got figures of 3-32 (10).

They were all done with default lineups so I think we sort of agreed to let it stand as anything else would be too much of a hassle.

Morpork and Schmaltzberg both beat their bots in the cup now watching ataraXIa in a cautious chase of 215 against Free HK - can LOY pull it back?

Yikes. Been a rough week for ZCC - losses in T20, SOD, CWC3 and the Cup. Did set orders for all games but perhaps could have spent more time refining them. Been a busy week. The fitness hits are gong to be immense - I went in full strength in all the senior games as I wanted wins. Now that we're out of the Cup I'll need to find more opportunities for the Dev boys in Senior cricket somehow.

FHK have won all the competitive games + CWC3 but dropped the friendly to ataraXIa. Nailbiter tho by the looks of it. Jan Du Preez played a blinder.

GG CC are playing the mighty Dynamo Morpork today, and after a solid start of 78(98) by their opening batsmen..two quick wickets have then now at 85/2

The wicket takers are leggie, Christo Theron, and fastman Babar Ijaz.

Jayant Marita, the best batsman in CW world (my opinion of course) and Daniel Rowan in the middle

Happy with the batting performance in the friendly against FHK today. Probably 20 or 30 short. But still pretty happy. Hopefully the bowlers can push a top performance now.

Alonso Kock bats 130 balls for his 83 and then bowls 4 with the new ball for 1/19

Hope he's absolutely knackered and bleeds runs in his later spells lol. Apart from that TMO have been very good. 248 is plenty, and they left Shum and LOY wicketless at home. Bowling well now too so far. Only 2k behind in the ratings as well. Serious outfit. Have never beaten FHK before, would be nice if they can get that first win at the 5DNOL stadium against a full strength FHK side.

Would be even nicer if Qasim, Tin and Nathan hammer them and get us over the line tho
