Mahedi at 3 makes no sense. If you do want a right hander to replace the right hander then why not one of the other proper bats in the side?

He's got to be in there with license to hit and take advantage of the powerplay.

Despite that over, it seems like this innings is going nowhere for BD. Really reflects how awful their prep for this tournament has been. Poor pitches, poor selection.

SL at least seem to have put together a team of cricketers who have skills that fit T20s. BD's essentially carrying their ODI/Test team here. Not sure if there are any alternatives that would be better, but that's kind of the point. They did not prep well for this at all.

Oman letting this game slip through their hands, literally. Still well ahead, BD would want at least 140.
