4. Plymouth Argyle

Doncaster isn’t generally a holiday destination but in 2019 a friend of mine wanted to visit The Britain Railway Museum, York Race Course, York Minster Cathedral and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park for her 39th birthday. York would have been the more obvious place to stay, but if a woman twenty years my junior wants to stay in Doncaster, we stay in Doncaster. :tooth:

So for those who don’t follow me on Twitter

1. Tranmere Rovers
2. Liverpool
3. Stranraer
4. Chester FC

2 is debatable. I got a diploma through work in Coventry in 2012, but the tweet says school/uni so I will go with University of Liverpool. That being said the answer could be Everton, I’ve not checked
Had a wee look on Google Maps out of curiosity and it looks like if you pretty much walk due north from the campus you hit Anfield first, with Goodison being on the other side of Stanley Park further north.

edit: your career there also looks like 'promising youngster has career ruined by injury.' Liverpool to Stranraer ffs.

This turned out kind of upsetting, was born within 5 miles or so of 4 clubs but QPR easily the closest.

Thought I would have at least had Club Brugge or something for the holiday but no that family trip to Essex this year.

Hibernian
Celtic/Partick Thistle
Dumbarton
Rangers/Partick Thistle

2 and 4 are either or because I would have to properly measure it to get a correct answer. 1's quite close as well but I'm pretty sure the hospital I was born in is closer to Easter Road than Tynecastle.
1. Bærum SK (semi-pro but you counted Dumbarton)
2. Vålerenga
3. AZ Alkmaar
4. FC Utrecht

Fairly convincing career arc (except that neither AZ nor Utrecht have women's teams, in which case it'd be vv Alkmaar and Ajax)

If we're only counting professional full time teams then I think my answer to 2 weirdly changes to either Morton or Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

My career clearly includes an early move to West Hwm followed by a couple of loan spells.

Not actually sure if Chester are full time these days. If they aren’t then it’s a glorious return home for me after my spell up north

Originally on Palace's books as a youngster but I wasn't good enough to be retained there so I carved out a respectable career in the lower leagues. Now back at Selhurst Park selling programmes as I missed Croydon.

A holiday in Exeter? That makes my Doncaster seem exotic. :tooth:

:)

Being honest, I don't know whether Croyde is closer to Exeter or Plymouth, and naturally I cba to look it up. Actually, as the crow flies, it may be closer to Swansea, but life really is too short to try and work that one out.
