I posted before the innings started that it's the sort of chase where you can be 100 without loss and still get nowhere near it, and this is why. It's still tough for new batsman.
On TMS Vaughan was implying that England might benefit if Hameed got out because he was holding back the run rate.

It turns out there is a worse alternative than 'player staying in but scoring slowly'.

He's a proper talent. I've been on the Pope train since his South African tour.
Yeah he is quite clearly better than the other guys. His struggles have pretty much been normal ones for a young players, feels very different to Sibley or whoever.

Lol, he talks so much **** it's unreal. He's a ****ing divvy. Albeit one who improves notably when he commentates in Australia where he doesn't feel like he's in his own lounge room holding court.
