What role is there for CdG in a T20I in the subcontinent? He is a poor starter against spin. His bowling is hittable on flat decks. I assume he is only there because they want him for the ODIs in Pakistan. But IMHO more useful picking Kuggs or Henry as a lower order biffer.

What role is there for CdG in a T20I in the subcontinent? He is a poor starter against spin. His bowling is hittable on flat decks. I assume he is only there because they want him for the ODIs in Pakistan. But IMHO more useful picking Kuggs or Henry as a lower order biffer.

his bowling would be useful when it’s not coming on to the bat (more than Bracewell or Bennett IMO). Sure, spin may be his kryptonite but he’s a better player when he has a license at the death than when he’s required to build an innings.

I do hope we play Shoriful as well as Saif in the World Cup if they're going to be flat, somewhat hard surfaces. We'll need someone else with the wicket taking power to remove top batsmen. 10 overs of pace and 10 overs spin will be the way to go. Can't be relying on B or B+ standard spin if they're not turning decks.

Fizz, shoriful and saifuddin all three should play in UAE imo. We can afford to drop mahedi or nasum for the final XI.
