Stumped!

110-1 (13) so far, looking good. The gamble to bring Kotze up to the top of the order for quick runs backfired, but with Frost and Shaffrey motoring along all is well in the world. Frost's 65* (42) is his highest T20 score in his 45th match - he has seemed quite a content record-breaker recently. Still 10 an over needed though, will be close.

So Mooo were able to bowl out GG CC for 209.
Alf Henton picked up his maiden 5-fer for Mooo

GG had some tricks up their sleeves, opening the bowling with the leggy Theron, who went on to pick up both openers inside the first five overs. Moo are currently 39/3, in pursuit of 210, Chengelpet on 10 (30); keeper Truman on 5(11)

The pressure is on.

Small mercy's, MTOs manage to keep FHK to under 240... going batting pitch , with Law producing an aggressive 93 run innings. Unfortunately, Mthombeni will have to live with dropping Law on 10. Probably the match right there.

Some real big first innings score this round

I'm hoping work eases in the next 2-3 weeks, so I can get back to detailed writeups and such as we head towards the end of CWC3. It's getting really interesting. But atm I'm struggling to find time to simply set lineups!!

Reid did his best to try give his team a chance, but once again Kock failed to make an impact and it was probably all over thereafter; with the TMO middle order failing once again. and losing the last 7 wickets for just 10 runs...

Congrats to @cnerd123.

Double round robin, isn't it? So doesn't end until November.

Good win and professional chase for Morpork despite GG putting up a competitive total - ataraXIa seems fairly likely to chase down 180 against Schmaltzberg but if we can squeeze out Dee then there's maybe a chase to get the last two wickets as well

I didn't set my lineup for today's cup game :wallbash:

Default XI at home. Hope it works out. If not, oh well, been a good run.

:(

Heshan de Melho's incredible 123 (147) was just a bit too slow on a flat pitch. CW's out of the cup, aw.

Lost a match vs FHK on Saturday. Never really could get going to overhaul 207-9. Spinners' delight, as Michael Winton's trash part-time spin routes Tin Yau, and Lai & Lester figure 18-4-39-6. 153 all out. FHK up to 57.7K, with those youths I wonder how high they can get.

Demonic pitch in CWC3 against Schmaltzberg saw them clamber their way to a lofty 179-8. With 2 early wickets I should have been out of the game, but Shawn Dee produced an absolute masterclass with 82* (112). He didn't get much help, and it was 146-7 before Ludlow did his thing and stuck around annoyingly to save the game. He's an excellent bowler, will be a shame to see him graduate from Dev cricket in a couple of weeks. Memed well with the bat recently, last 13 innings he has 133 runs @ 33.25, including 9 not outs and his highest score. Up against Hunks next week, scared tbh.

New ball paradise against Moooo, at one point it was 76ao plays 22-4, with run rates hovering around 2. But Shaffrey and Clift dug in and ensured a win. May have been a seamers' paradise, but spinner Frans Potgieter managed 5-15, so whatever.

Selling Anthony McGrath (yes that appears to be the name he was generated with) as the Hughes/Fouche opening partnership is clearly the future (another 143-run partnership in DEV today to go with the 148-run from last week). 15 stam and well rounded 32 skill/40 pot at 22, a good opener for CW level teams. Potential 3-over spin option too if you run into a dirt track.

Halfway-point CWC XI

1) Shanuka Kurusumuttu / o 420 runs at 46.67 (Schmaltzberg)
2) Menno Fouche / o 421 runs at 46.78 (Morpork)
3) Tinozivaishe Zikhungwini / 501 runs at 50.1 (Jura)
4) Tony Chung + / 472 runs at 47.2 (Free HK)
5) Daniel Bennett / 468 runs at 42.55 (Ashgrove)
6) Alonso Kock / o 356 runs at 39.56 (Orangutans)
7) Shanuka Veenstra / o runs at 34.67, wickets at 16.67 (Moooo)
8) Chunky Kuttikad* / o 324 runs at 32.4 (Hunks)
9) Tim Chester o / 25 wickets at 15.76 (ZCC)
10) Sabir Rizwan o / 20 wickets at 12.55 (Winton)
11) Sebastian Plaatjes o 15 wickets (GG CC)

12th: Rusty Frost / o 200ish runs & 17 wickets (aXIa)

One player from every team, which means a lot of batting all-rounders for some reason. So only three bowlers. Chunky in for his supreme guidance, in his last week of Dev.

GG CC is on the way to posting a 300+ score against Moooo.

Captain Ernst Levy leading from the front with 75 off 101 so far. The Human brothers made a pair of 30s at a good strike rate.

171/3 after 31 overs.

Levy- 75* (101)
D Souza- 4* (8)

25 pot bat, 16 pot wk. Thank you scouts. The only scenario he'd ever be useful is with a homegrown team that doesn't have a keeper, as a #10 slogger.
