I think he has a point in the sense of just bowling normally and trying to get the wicket instead of defensively to one guy.
Woakes is batting really well though and Anderson is a number 11 against the new ball. That being said, they can’t afford to give a single off 5th or 6th balls - or to give Anderson singles if he’s on strike early in an over.
