Whatever it takes!!!
Shardul could do a styris tbh. Decent defensive technique, his bowling is already at ceiling.
Lol... He is the modern Agarkar. He has a very high ceiling in bowling as well. Just that he can get it horribly wrong often enough. He is bone headed enough to not listen to any advice around him and try what he wants to.

This from cricinfo:
Christ alive, Jarvo is back on the pitch, has mimed a run-up, and run straight into Bairstow. Idiot. Next! Bairstow, rightly, seems deeply unimpressed. A massive distraction at a critical moment of the match

Who is Jarvo? And wtf is going on?

Dont recall Styris getting 7 in Brisbane.
And? His bowling is what it is. He doesn't have a higher ceiling, this is it. He's a short fat bloke who bowls decent mediums. Dougy B won a test in aus with his bowling then disappeared because he wasnt good enough. Thakur risks the same imo.

You can stick to your snap judgements all you want. Does not make it right though. Those of us who have seen him around know what the deal is.

What a wonderful counterattack. This is why Test cricket is peerless.
There really is nothing in the pitch and we have done well to be where we are. It was a very good toss to win tbh. This is not like Leeds where we threw away wickets. Sure, a couple of batsmen played poor shots but overall, this has been far better performance in tough conditions.

Exhibit 59 why five bowlers are bad (unless you’ve got no choice cause they all suck) - the fifth bowler has sent down zero overs so far.
