***Official*** 4th Test @ The Oval, London - 2nd-6th September

I think England will just end the Test match today by showing that this is a flat pitch where any Test-quality batsman can score runs.
They'll fill their boots a bit while the sun's out, yeah, which will be annoying af cos it wasn't easy batting most of the day.

EDIT: I agree the pitch isn't that hard to bat on anyway.

The condition now with them though. Earlier on, the ball did something after first half an hour or so

Just noticed India picked one of the dark red balls this time, they usually seem to go for the lighter ones. May be copying England's preference after last game when we didn't get any swing.

Might be why we picked two swing bowlers in Yadav and Thakur too.

Personally I think one guard should be the limit and not really convinced a guard should be allowed that far from the crease. The ball could bounce there when over pitched if batting in your crease, so not that keen by it being allowed. Took 3 guards and one miles from the crease is pushing it

Nah it's way too full for it to matter

Depends on how you bat, some bat in their crease and don’t get that far forward. Need to bear in mind everyone from 1 to 11. Especially if a tailender bats in their crease looking to survive
