Stumped!

Rusty Frost, absolute legend! In his 159th game he hits 89 (100) to get his new high score, before following it up with 6-26, his new best figures, to single-handedly drag my team to a 23-run win in the CWC!

Lost to Morpork... again, by 4 wickets. Hey, maybe I should bowl first... Kurt Murdoch does a saving knock from #7... again: 59 (59). Home-grown Murdoch actually averages more than senior batsman Shaffrey, which I found surprising. Big bad partnership between Mthabela (65 off 80) and Marita (72 off 100) provided the lion's share of the 188 runs needed to win. A little wobble at the end but a fairly straightforward chase. Good game.

GG CC with a crucial win today. Batted first:

- an 88-run opening partnership in 10.2 overs.
- captain Ernst Levy with 55(53)
- Bram Human with 35(28)
- Kasun Obeysekere with 24(35)
- Extras with 38
- total of 236 all out in 36.1 overs

Bowling wise:

- bowled out the opposition for 94 in 29 overs
- Kasun Obeysekere led the way with 6-3-9-3
- Cornelius Human with 5-1-8-2
- Ernst Levy with 5-0-14-2

GG are placed 2nd on the table with 40 points, just four points shy of the leader.

Have a SOD vs GG CC, and man, they piled up the runs. 288/8 will be a very tough chase. Ernst Levy, 37 (42); Bram Human, 42 (49); Riaan de Villiers, 57 (65); Cornelius Human, 61 (55); Peter Sutherland, 47* (45). Both sides rolled out are more batting-tilted so I'm not going to put this chase beyond my team.

So many starts…one of them needed to have stayed on a make a century.

This bowling effort so far is flawless.

Murdoch out, required run rate up to 9, not looking good. Gonna have to be some brilliance from Shaffrey as Winton is out first ball. My tail can deal a few lusty blows, but heavily doubt it will be enough.

Man ZCC's had some rough losses in the Dev. First to GG CC in the CWC3, then to TMO today. Thank goodness we won our league fixture. CWC Dev cricket clearly a higher standard than EurAfrica Div 2! Promising signs, in 5 seasons CW teams will be dominating Stumped.

I also ****ed up with FHK and went full strength vs a bot, which means we have fitness issues for our upcoming league fixtures. Looks like we're relegating anyways, so I suppose the bot bash is more important. We lost an important Dev league game last week and now are 2nd battling to reclaim 1st and the promotion that comes with it. Good thing is that we're a young side and homegrown means we have a healthy bank balance - if we need to spend a season in Div 3 in all formats then so be it, hopefully we come out stronger as a result.

ZCC in the meanwhile are chasing gold and -say it in whispers- promotions to Div 1 in SOD

At least Asia's weak and I can climb up to D2 with little fuss...

my SOD division is a mare tho, there are 2 other strong teams in it and the two divisions beside it have one human apiece. Not being promoted in SOD this season, hoping next will work out.

Speaking of Shingi Ndaba, he's rocketed up to the top, most wickets for a CW bowler this season, despite playing only 17 games. 42 wickets at 4.83 lol, bot-bashing at its finest. As a matter of fact, AXI hasn't lost a game this season with Shingi in the team, such is how it unfolded. Ndaba has recorded consecutive innings analyses of 3/5, 4/5, 3/5, 2/6, 3/9, 4/7, and 4/8. That's 23 wickets at 1.96 in 7 games. He also hasn't played a SOD game for almost 6 weeks lol, my seniors tend to play the SOD alongside top prospects to preserve skills.

GG got absolutely man-handled by a 60K-plus rating

We batted first and only mustered up 120 all out. Riaan de Villiers with 28(20), captain Ernst Levy with 19(13)…most of the guys with starts but just fell at wrong time.

The bowlers did a relatively good job. They picked up 7 wickets and was able to hold down the Karachi batsmen. Roger Attlee 3 for 31 (4 overs). Two wickets for Cornelius Human. A wicket a piece for Kasun Obeysekere (3-0-18-1) and Christo Theron (4-0-16-1).

Gonna go and check out the scouts now.
