places where eng have been really poor are pak and wi - just one win each in the last 50 years.
have been very good in sa - 3 wins and a couple of draws.
they have been ok in ind nz and australia tbh - maybe not in recent times or certain periods. but have multiple series wins over the years and a few draws. i mean there have been a few whitewashes and lots of losses but thats par for an away team. its not like pak/sl in australia or nz/sl in india level.

You're right. I had mixed the series as a whole with the Cape Town test, which I remember as being awesome but ended annoyingly in a draw.

I understand not right now, but.....since the beginning of 2020, in 11 matches, he has averaged 23. 23! How many games do you tolerate your number #4 averaging 23 in Test cricket? 15 matches? 20? 30? Even someone with as much talent as Kohli.
And yes, Pujara and Rahane need to go first, and I think they will by the end of this series.

Ideally, he should be up for getting kicked out if he is still averaging in the 20s for the remaining 7-8 tests of the year.
Realistically, he has a lock on number 4 + captaincy till the 2023 WC at least.

11 test matches is not enough evidence to be dropping batsmen with that kind of record. I agree its time to strip him of the captaincy but you guys are talking pure BS about him being dropped.

The Sobers declaration was in1968. The 1974 draw came courtesy of Amiss' match saving 260 in one test and then us stealing the final test through Boycott' twin masterpieces and Greig's off breaks

He is really batting on a different planet. Others are scoring runs but there is no series where I feel the batsmen can feel truly confident of being dominant, today. And he is just getting it done so easily. This is Smith-esque and that is as high a praise as you can give for a current day batsman.
