They are, but I am easily impressed when England win overseas. And it's not as if everyone wins in SL.I mean SL are abysmal ain't they?

Nah fair play to England, teams like Australia and South Africa got beaten in their backyard.I mean SL are abysmal ain't they?
We won in 15-16They’ve consistently done well in SA. Draws in 2009-10 and 2015-16 against good Saf sides and a win last time out against a mediocre one.
India, Australia and NZ are the sides that belt England on tour.
I'd secretly think worse of you if you didn't, tbf.If I may be pedantic, that win in the Caribbean was in the 60s too. We drew there in 1974. And I have long argued that the 2004 win is seriously underrated
You're right. I had mixed the series as a whole with the Cape Town test, which I remember as being awesome but ended annoyingly in a draw.We won in 15-16
Oh BumbleFor non-UK viewers, David Lloyd just opted to advertise the formula 1 tomorrow by shouting 'VROOM!'
I understand not right now, but.....since the beginning of 2020, in 11 matches, he has averaged 23. 23! How many games do you tolerate your number #4 averaging 23 in Test cricket? 15 matches? 20? 30? Even someone with as much talent as Kohli. He's never getting dropped, let's be realistic here
Kohli will have a place in the India side until the day he diesI understand not right now, but.....since the beginning of 2020, in 11 matches, he has averaged 23. 23! And yes, Pujara and Rahane need to go first, and I think they will by the end of this series.
Ideally, he should be up for getting kicked out if he is still averaging in the 20s for the remaining 7-8 tests of the year.I understand not right now, but.....since the beginning of 2020, in 11 matches, he has averaged 23. 23! 11 test matches is not enough evidence to be dropping batsmen with that kind of record. I agree its time to strip him of the captaincy but you guys are talking pure BS about him being dropped.I understand not right now, but.....since the beginning of 2020, in 11 matches, he has averaged 23. 23! There's a 6 in the 100s column now.View attachment 29007
Bit silly, isn't it.
The Sobers declaration was in1968. The 1974 draw came courtesy of Amiss' match saving 260 in one test and then us stealing the final test through Boycott' twin masterpieces and Greig's off breaksI'd secretly think worse of you if you didn't, tbf.
Was 74 the overly-generous Sobers declaration or was that the earlier series?
He is really batting on a different planet. Others are scoring runs but there is no series where I feel the batsmen can feel truly confident of being dominant, today. And he is just getting it done so easily. This is Smith-esque and that is as high a praise as you can give for a current day batsman.View attachment 29007
