Atleast this team isnt boring. The highs are thrilling and the lows are complete ****shows with the wheels flying off in every direction.
Honestly, this team kind of reminds me of some of the early-to-mid Aus teams especially under Clarke; capable of amazing performances and amazingly bad performances, often in adjacent Test matches. All of which probably nets to overall underperformance given the amount of talent at your disposal.

I find Shami's run-up fascinating with all the tiny little steps. I'm guessing it helps his balance but surely costs him a bit of momentum?

Opinions welcome from people who know bowling technique. Or even if you don't; it's not like it's ever stopped me!

Whatever it takes!!!
Our bowlers are trying too hard. Need to settle down to a plan and bowl. England can still collapse. Focus should be on bowling as if they are batting first. Not this harakiri we saw in this little session.

Not even Manee's face is as slingy as what Sharma's been doing. It's like he's back at the nets for the first time after spending the winter playing football and he's trying to remember what his bowling action was like.

Called an Indian collapse and an England win at the start of play.
Haha sub-100 scores are very common in England and we were due. Usually the bowling is better than it was today when it happens, only really Anderson was at a level that leaves it up to the cricketing gods.

Rahul is the one who’s let them down the most here. If he even plays a Sibley innings like Rohit did, Pujara comes in around lunch, Anderson’s opening spell is over, and it’s a different game. You need openers that respect how fragile batting lineups are in England and put in the work early knowing that a lot of the time they won’t be the ones to cash in later.
