Curran was due a wicket. He’s been far too loose given his role in the team but he’s also caused far more problems than his 0/120 series figures suggested.

True, too much to expect in the middle of a pressure series. But Pujara also doesn't play short-form cricket so unconventional tendencies should not interfere with correcting these issues. He's been squirty and tentative like this for two years now I think.
I think if a player is tentative then playing white ball cricket might be the solution. Put them in situations where blocking 40 balls is not an option. Where they have to attack the ball. Might actually get them out of the shell and into some form.

I think Che Pu's struggles with rotating the strike are at the heart of this. Couldn't find singles even when in good form, and now it's worse.

Yehs have some short memories re: Pujara huh.

As if there’s a team that wouldn’t give a bollock to have him in the team away from home.

That's irrelevant though. Most other teams besides NZ are scraping the bottom of the barrel but we've got genuine options to replace him. He's had a really good series in Australia, but really trash output in home games, in England, in NZ and even in WI in the last 2 or so years.

More importantly he's batting very differently from what he used to when he was successful in the past.

There is no other player in the world who I'd rather see succeed, but he's on very thin ice atm.
