The Wheel is Forever
So india win by DRS?
Agreed, they don't. However, you do need good enough players to turn it around, and I don't think that England have enough of those. Obviously it's not impossible for England to win at Lord's, but India would need to do very badly with the bat in both innings for England's scores to be winning ones.I think we'd be the luckier side to escape with a draw, especially post first innings. But India have played better overall so they should be up.
But I'm not sure these things translate that neatly.
ModsI think we'd have lost anyway but was looking forward to watching it doing some quality wrist slitting ffs .
TBF, rain in an England "summer test" is the highest quality wrist slitting for any cricket fan.I think we'd have lost anyway but was looking forward to watching it doing some quality wrist slitting ffs .
It really depends on the forecast and the pitch. You live there, right? Tell us what the forecast is like and what the weather has been like?Sad about this. But good lessons moving forward and a tricky decision about whether to retain Thakur or not. 4/78 are decent returns with the ball for a fourth seamer - especially considering it was three frontline batsman and Ollie.
Root - much harder to score runs in this era.Root has 1000 and a bit runs this year with 7 tests left, if he beats Clarke's 1788 by the end if the year whos would have been the better effort?
It's incredibly frustrating to know that we had the option of starting early on what, 2, maybe 3 days, and didnt. Not saying that hour or two would have forced a result, more painful that we established protocols for these types of situations then don't use them.
England got away with a warning shot from Rishabh Pant.India get away with it then. Shame
