Jacques Kallis vs Rahul Dravid vs Kumar Sangakkara

Darvid = Sangakara > Kallis.
Dravid better than Sanga ? it should be Dravid-Kallis-Sanga. In fact, it would have been better if Ponting's name was included in this instead of Sanga. But I guess, most here believe Ponting belongs closer to Sachin-Lara than Kallis-Dravid. It's not correct though...

People forget than Sanga was a keeper batsman for 80 odd innings. He would have averaged Steve Smith territory if he was a pure batsman, shown by the sudden jump in the average once he gave up keeping.

Stat padding against minnows like all SL players though. Good guide is to cut batting averages by 30% and increase bowling averages by 30% to get an accurate adjusted average for Sri Lanka cricketers

Good way. Possibly do the same for other who feasted on near minnow England as well.

Yeah, I think Sanga is overrated but there's no doubt that dropping the gloves had a positive impact on his batting stats. I don't know how anyone can argue otherwise tbh.

I think the argument comes from thinking that as his career progressed he became a better batsman, so keeing or no-keeping he was always gonna average higher at the later stages of his career. In the end it's probably a combination of the two but who knows how much.

he kept all the way in OD cricket right and his stats improved in them as well all though its a different format

Don't think dropping the gloves were hugely influential tbh. He just got better

So he is a better keeper batsman than Gilchrist if he continued keeping because dropping the gloves made little effect?
