Stumped!

MTO doing extremely well against a tough opponent. 79 off the last ten probably too rough but man they're having a good go.

Morpork need 16 off 30, which seems okay until you realize we're already down to the no 9

Speaking of annoying lower order runs - Morpork pull off the chase! No upset today. Martin Grobbelaar playing a blinder, with very valuable support from Fred Clarke and Steven Churchill. Steven easily POTM IMO - 6/16 and a batted more balls than anyone except Grobbelarr.

Meanwhile, Tim Chester strikes second last ball of his spell to send back Vilojen, good catch by Halliday!

33.5WTim Chester to Jeroen Viljoen73.4 kphGOT HIM! Bowled towards leg stump, Dances down the wicket and attempts to place that into the gap. That ungainly shot just sends the ball high towards mid-on. Halliday dives forward to grab it, OUT! He clearly changed his mind mid-shot there, he may have been better off sticking with it, couldn't have been worse.

He has not. What a finish tho. Ahsan MOM?

Four teams stay unbeaten but I think today's round showed everyone can beat everyone here and that it's unwise to speak to soon!

Also, GG CC's ground has been chosen to host the NAT final (Twenty20, England v India). After today's game I think we can expect fireworks with the bat there

Oh dear Sanjeewa. What on earth was that?

Good game @StephenZA. Exciting match. Brings an end to a fun night of games!

Innings of the Round I think has to go to FHK keeper/batsman Tony Chung. Only 3 digit score today, and set FHK up for a massive win against a tricky opponent. Shout outs to Tinozivaishe Zikhungwini for a match-winning 70*, Morpork's Martin Grobbelaar (best innings of 39 runs in CWC history?) and Jacob Jennings - 73* off 56 from number 7 coming in at 114/4. Faisal Jawad and him rescued Winton CC from a potential upset vs the Hunks, who continue to be a tricky side when they manage to set their orders!

Spell of the Round easily goes to Morpork left-arm seamer Steven Churchill for dismantling the extraordinarily long Astronaut's tail en route to 7-3-16-3. Shout out to Murray Crichton for his 3-0-13-3 in the same. Bounced back from a duck in the first innings to single-handedly take apart the Morpork top order and set his side on track for a (near) upset.

Vilojen with annoying lower order runs again! 54 from 42, I'm nervous.
Oldest player in the team showing his experience. Bowling his heart out and putting all out effort into his batting.

Happy with the overall performance from the team. Kock and Katz need to start taking more responsibility on. Tyagi needs to also start performing again, not score many runs or taking wickets.

MTOs back down to a squad of 15. This includes 2 players that are awaiting retirement! So really down to a squad of 13 now.

Hoping to find a second spinner. Else saving monies for some big buys at the end of the season for next season after this development team starts maturing.

ataraXIa are coming off their first win over Dynamo Schmaltzberg, where the H2H previously stood at 4-0, thanks to a a stunning partnership between Ghous Saadi and Bobby Shaffrey, flaying the Schmaltzberg bowlers for a partnership of 115 and a total of 192 for 8 - leg spinners Scott and Payne pulled it back somewhat. Schmaltzberg made a spirited response in reply, needing 70 off the last eight overs, but Bill Manning got out for a duck and that killed any momentum. No. 4 Eashwar Pewar tried to bat through but eventually was caught behind with nine balls remaining.
