11 runs:
Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne vs India, Chennai 2001. Two 11s from the same innings which were both hilariously terrible in their own way.

Ponting came in looking petrified of harbhajan, was caught behind but not given by the umpire, was dropped by Bahutule, twice spooned the ball up but it fell into the gap, hit a yolo six, and when he finally got out caught at bat pad off Harbhajan, it was so sad and predictable that Tony Greig on commentary basically just went "yeah so we've got that trashfire of an innings out of the way, let's get back to actual cricket" (maybe paraphrasing but that was how it sounded). Warne came in immediately afterwards and played one of the most lolsy shots of all time to get out off the last ball of the day. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...ia-vs-australia-3rd-test-63921/full-scorecard)

Both innings can be seen here around the 37 minute mark.

The 3 run award should consider Salim Malik who came out to bat against the W.Indies with a broken hand to partner Wasim Akram in a 32 run last wicket partnership. The W.Indies were used to seeing batsmen leave the ground injured, not coming out in a cast to face Marshall, Patterson, Walsh and Gray. This must have so unnerved them that they got bundled out for 53.

My mom tells me having such big ears indicates intelligence, coz the Lord Ganesha has those and he is the wisest of them all.

All hail Lord Bahutule..

12 runs:

Sehwag vs Australia chennai 2004. Smashed 3 4s off McGrath at the end of the 4th day to set India on their way to a guaranteed win on day 5. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...ia-vs-australia-2nd-test-64100/full-scorecard)

and

Curtly Ambrose vs Australia Bridgetown 1999: Crucial partnership of 54 with Lara setting the stage for Walsh's heroics (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...es-vs-australia-3rd-test-63839/full-scorecard)

Honorable mention to Chris Martin's legendary 12 but it was against bangladesh.

Yeah @Daemon 9's an obvious one

9 runs: Andy Roberts vs Pakistan 1977. Batted out 95 minutes on the final day against Imran and Sarfraz to save the game.

Clearly this is the 9 we're all thinking of. Nothing else comes to mind really. No meme innings I can think of. None at all.
Ok, there is one other 9 I shouldnt have forgotten which I'll now add as a tie to the Roberts one. Pretty famous one, actually.

Alec Stewart's 9* at Sabina park 98 on a pitch where Curtly Ambrose half volleys were bouncing over the wicketkeeper's head.

If you want another 11 that is what Bert Sutcliffe topscored with when NZ were bowled out for 26.

13 runs: Yashpal Sharma vs Australia 1981. A 169 ball innings to save the game https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...tralia-vs-india-2nd-test-63280/full-scorecard

Honorable mention:

This is kinda cheating and a complete tangent but Gambhir in the 4th test of the infamous 4-0 series in England scored 13 runs across 2 innings. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...gland-vs-india-4th-test-474475/full-scorecard)

He didnt bat well, in fact he was pretty ****ing shite as is to be expected from someone who had suffered a pretty nasty concussion. Only reason I mention this is because I was recently reminded of Warne's commentary during that game where he basically spent the entire test calling Gambhir a coward for not fronting up and opening the batting just because he had a headache. I'd been looking for some of that commentary for ages but only recently found it in the below video, with some bonus embarrassing comments from Botham towards the end of the video.:

So yeah this is just an excuse to say **** off Warne

14 runs: Danny Morrison's famous partnership with Astle vs England(https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...land-vs-england-1st-test-63739/full-scorecard). Selectors rewarded him by never picking him for a test again

and this innings by Geoffrey Boycott which is unremarkable except for the fact that he was caught by Artie Dick, off the bowling of Dick Motz. Heh dicks. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...-vs-new-zealand-2nd-test-62978/full-scorecard)

To my knowledge the only instance where all three players involved in a dismissal were Dicks, apart from the 11 times Gambhir got out caught against Australia.

Fun thread thus far

Hope Hutton and Hammond's 30 odds on stickies where their teams were bowled out for less than 100 make the cut.

Also was thinking about Atherton's 185 and realised he probably doesn't have much competition for other notable 185s.

I wonder at one point it becomes a case of simply listing the one batsman who had a notable innings of x number
