The Merry Orangutans are 54/1 in 13 overs in a Dev friendly at the Dom Dom Memorial CG. Pretty flat looking pitch, slight bit of wear. Tim Chester gout Jalal Farhat LBW for our first wicket in the 12th over. We have the ratings edge by 7k, I think if we keep them under 160 we should get the job done.

Meanwhile the ZCC youths are going pretty well but with Katz and Viljoen in in the final 10 overs I could see MTO getting to 170 at least

169 to win for ZCC U21s. Reckon we should be able to chase that. All depends on if Grubs, Ahsan and Garner can get a start.

Pest CCC 87/0 in 12.3 vs ZCC seniors. Making a good go of this chase, hopefully we nab some wickets soon.

Astronauts' recovery comes to an end. Eachann Evans (50 off 75) bowled by Drew Ancell, and Daniel Bennet (42 off 58) run out soon after. Schmaltzberg on track for a thumping win despite the wonky orders and ratings deficit.

Little frustrated with the MTOs bowling at the moment... seem to bowl well (overall), quite iften better than opposition. But not making the break throughs I would like. Wonder how much that might be down to poor fielding? Also lack of outright pace?

lack of scoreboard pressure too, though having said that you've just got Madani out. Career best of 47 for the keeper bat! Good stuff.

Missed Chance actually just means your captain isn't putting catching fielders in place to take the chances. Either field settings too defensive or captain too raw/inexperienced.

Good to know... have been playing with more defensive fields recently.. maybe need to be more attacking, rather drop the catch than miss the opportunity!

Wickets you basically have to treat as a gift. More so than in real cricket, sometimes you truly want a batter to stay in

ROTB has almost delivered us a win vs Pest CCC here. They're 317/8 in 44.4. They threatened to chase down the 375 target for a while there, but ran out of steam in the end. Bowlers have held their nerve and should close out the game.

Hasn't really worked for TMO tho, as ZCC U21s complete a 5 wicket win. Madani's career-best 47 as an opener leading the way. 8-1-27-4 for Tim Chester as well, so a good workout overall heading into CWC3.

Lester Shum gets FHK's first wicket, sending back Phil Hughes caught behind. 57/1 now, Joshua Wong seems to be bowling nicely as well. 150.6 kmph max speed, really pushing it up there.

Big win for ZCC over Pest CCC! Margin is only 37 runs, but it's the first time we've beaten them in our last 7 attempts dating back to August 2020!
Sajith (168 off 158) and Raun (155* off 104) scored 304 runs for the 2nd wicket in just 212 balls to set them 375 to win, after which Hashim Zahid (7-0-52-3) and Chung Yiu (8.3-0-76-3) took regular wickets to interrupt their chase. Bowled them out for 337 in the 48th over. Luke Giddings was decent in spinning conditions (9-1-58-1) while Bikswing Nouding was exceptional (10-1-48-1). Zack and Jalal took a bit of tap but took a wicket each as well, and we dropped at least one catch that I saw, but ultimately did enough to get over the line.

Can we make it 3 out of 3 for today by beating Dynamo Morpork? We've got the slight ratings advantage and are playing at home, but Mthabela is looking dangerous.
