If COVID allow the series to go ahead kiwis have areal chance of an upset. The fact that it is only two tests plays in their favour. A longer series and India would win as I don’t think the kiwi bowlers would be able do dominate India’s batsmen over the course of a longer series in those conditions

Anderson got a ton of reverse swing in India for that chennai spell. Good fast bowlers are always in the game in India due to the reverse swing.

Yeah, Jamieson’s never had to worry about reversing the ball so far in his career, so that’ll be the most interesting thing to keep an eye on in his performances over there.

Unless I missed something since I was going over the records on my phone, NZ has won two games in India; last game was in 88 and one before that in 70. Two teams have been playing since 1955.

Two test series vs three works in favor of tourist sides IMO. In recent years, some of the strong SENA teams have been able to win one game (usually first one). So, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of NZ doing well in one game. Still it will be a different proposition. Our players (or I should say bowlers) turn into different animals when bowling on Indian pitch. It will be difficult if not impossible to win the series for any team in India in foreseeable future..
