Ponting was obviously an ATG and probably the best player I’ve seen in my lifetime against the short ball but I never found him aesthetically pleasing personally. I actually loved watching Inzamam when he was in full flow.

Thinking forward to a possible declaration I suspect India will be reluctant to offer 200 in two sessions being quite wary of the long NZ batting order which wagged a little bit today. Maybe 200 in 50 overs which probably isn't enough to take 10 wickets unless bowling conditions are ideal for both seamers and spinners. And of course even a moderate stoppage would completely upset those plans.
From NZ's pov they will probably need at least 3 wickets today to threaten to bowl out India fast enough to push for a win.
