*Official* South Africa in West Indies 2021

Great bowling by South Africa. Absolutely relentless and we're just not good enough at batting to cope.

Pretty dismal batting display once again.

Our best red ball players are all in Guyana.
I think a mixture of outstanding bowling, bad batting and a bit of bad luck.

Kraigg was strangled down the leg side, that happens. Powell was given out with the ball just clipping the stumps even though we had 2 appeals turned down that were hitting more of the stumps than that. Again, it happens.

Chase, Holder and Mayers rather gave away their hand which in these conditions is poor.

It feels like this is two good bowling attacks in helpful conditions and Markram, De Kock and Elgar found a way to score runs and our guys did not. We cannot progress as a side until we find some test class batsmen.

I honestly don't know where to go next in terms of selection though. We desperately need 4 day cricket.
Warm up matches clearly aren't cutting it. They should have tried some matches like Jamaica v West Indies 'A'.

For Pakistan series, Bonner will likely come back in for Powell. I'd look at bringing Bravo back and see if Evin Lewis wants to try his hand in Tests.

That was very soft by Petersen. He was looking good.
Bit giddy for a number 3. Loves an expansive drive and getting bat on ball even if it’s just for a feel. Windies have bowled very well, and it isn’t easy to score runs but South African batting still very vulnerable. Still need runs from de Kock here.

Huge wicket. South Africa probably have enough already, but you want a bit extra for comfort.
